Aside from the properties of a song, the contents can contain any information you choose to enter. However, usually a song will contain lyrics and chords, and sometimes headers for various verses or choruses. The song contents can be formatted or not as you choose.
There is no special requirement for formatting chords, other than that the chords must be on separate lines from the lyrics.
